How NOT to fry your bundles in the summer heat!

Worried about how your bundles will respond to the heat? Do you love the sun, but need tips on how to keep your bundles healthy and moist? Well congrats, you're in the right place. I have a few pointers that'll have you less anxious about having fun in the sun. Keep reading!

First thing 1st (this is important), you want to be sure to invest in good quality hair. When I say good quality hair what I'm specifically referring to are soft textures that have aligned cuticles . This is crucial to the prevention of matting and tangling. Matting is the bane of my existence! Make sure you take your time to research the company you're purchasing hair from.

You should also consider wearing wavy or curly textures as these are best when blending your natural leave out with the extensions. This is also a great idea for when sweating occurs because the hair will continue to blend with the textured extensions..... Sidenote: the less natural leave out there is the better protection for your natural hair.

Remember to shampoo your hair more frequently during the summer months. I know we're talking about extensions, but you still have to maintain the health and integrity of your natural hair and scalp. You have to allow your hair and scalp to breath. You have to be sure to moisturize your braids under your install. Its imperative that your braid pattern allows you access to your scalp.

PLEASE AVOID hair bonding glue because the heat can cause the glue to melt which can lead to breakage.

Great summer fun in the sun options are: Sew-ins, Lace frontals and Full wigs.

My must have products for maintaining a flawless summer install are

1. Coconut Oil

2. Sunscreen

3. Sulfate free shampoo

4. Wide tooth comb

There you have it!! Everything you need to ensure your bundles survive the summer heat!!!!
